Did you know there are at least 30 labyrinth's in Tucson alone? Labyrinths are used as a way to center yourself, pray, meditate, slow down, remember who you are and where you come from.
In the Christian faith, the labyrinth was used as the symbol of our single path to God. Other's may use the term source, universe, higher power, or mother nature.
It is a time to reflect on your personal spiritual path. Whatever your belief or unbelief, Solquest Retreat welcomes you to connect with Spirit, that place deep within you.
Our mission is to provide a place of PEACE IN THE DESERT.
We welcome you to help you create a place of calm in your life, restore your soul. We offer resources to support you on your journey through creative wellness coaching and therapeutic art practices.
I walk the labyrinth
I take the journey
I spiral in, I spiral out ~
to the center of my being,
where my soul
finds solace and peace.
Dean and I were married in a labyrinth in 2019. We didn't know a whole lot about them at the time, but we did some research. What we learned was life-changing. It was so impactful, that a labyrinth wedding became an obvious choice.
The labyrinth is a path to a spiritual awakening. It is a one-way path that leads to the integration of one's material self with their higher self. It is symbolic of the journey of life. There are many turns, times you appear to be headed right back to the place you started. But there is only one path and it leads to the center. You cannot get lost if you stay on the path.
We entered the labyrinth separately. As we walked, there were times where we were right next to each other, but we were never truly together until we both reached the center. There were times that we were on completely opposite sides, but we were on the same path which ultimately brought us together. When we walked out, we walked together, embracing our new future as a married couple.
The labyrinth is about the journey. As you walk in, you consider what changes are needed. You determine what you want to leave in the past. With each turn, you breathe and focus your mind. The center is a place for connection with the creator. It's a place to receive a very personal message. Each person receives what is intended at that time. Exiting the labyrinth is a time to embrace the message that was received and emerge into a new season.
Our 40 foot labyrinth is ready for you to come and unwind.
